I HAVE THIS THEORY THAT TO HEAR IS TO INVOLVE PASSIVE MIND, but too listen is to invoke active mind(see the yin yang) look again help please

Hear is the action of making use of the sense of hearing.
Listen, not only involves hearing, but also suggest a form of attentiveness to the hearing.

The Bible tells us there are those that have ears but don't hear, eyes but don't see.
I think if people would learn to listen to what is being said they would be better informed.
Instead they just hear the sound of another voice.

I hear many sounds around me, but I listen to the important ones. Tis better to listen.

Listen or hearing don't make any different unless one pays attention to what is being says.

You can listen to someone talking without hearing what they are saying. Hearing infers understanding.

and the Lord said, "If they have ears to hear, let them hear" . Listening is not paying attention, hearing is paying attention. It has nothing to do with ying and yang. "sigh"
