That is totally absurd. That is an extreme thing to say. Something only an extremist religion would claim. There is no True God. The human spirit is universal. All expressions of spirituality are 'true' and valid. What makes you think only one would be Right and all others Wrong? Ancient writings? I could produce many ancient writing from any number of sources. The point of spirituality is to become a better person. This means working on humility, compassion, kindness, and over-coming our innate primate hostility and sex drive. Any spiritual path that promotes these things is a 'true' religion. Any spiritual path that claims to be the One True Faith and places social conformity and converting others above perfecting the soul is an extremist cult. Maybe I'm wrong. How do you know the Mormons aren't the One True Faith? What about the Shinto, maybe they are the only religion, on the whole planet that has the Truth. Unless you belong to their Shinto religion, you will be, uh, tortured forever. Yeah, that should gain converts. On a side note, are you really sure about your religion? Joyful anticipation of the end of the world? A Hanged God? You God will eternally torment ALL other faiths? That's not an extremist death cult, is it?

And most of those 10,000 religions worship the One True God. They just do it differently.
Just because there are 10,000 different perceptions, does not mean that there are 10,000 different gods. There is only One, and all that is required is that we seek him with a sincere heart and to the best of our abilities.

How can you say, after accepting that there are over 10000 religions each with the same evidence, that there must be one true god? Isn't it possible they're all wrong?

ok,
the one true god sent so many messengers and prophets including, Adam, Noah, Moses, Jeasus, Muhammad and many others to convey one true message which is: there is one god worship him and him alone,
so you might wonder if god sent many messengers and prophets then their religion must be one, but what is it?
christians belive in three gods (though they might say only one) the belive in god the father, god the son (jesus) and god the holey spirit. but verses in the bible say that god was never and cannot be seen or heard by any one, and if Jesus was really the son of god then wouldn't that make him unseen? his family followers and friends saw him at his time, so that tells us that jesus is not god and that god is one!
and since god (Allah) is one, and his religion is Islam!

How do you know they don't all worship the same God, just using different names that are more common with the part of the world they live in so it is easier to associate?

there is ONE TRUE GOD. this does not say however there is only one way to return to HIM. there are many ways to get to ones destination. we can walk, ride a bike, a motorcycle, take a plane, a train, an automobile, etc. etc. but still arrive at the destination in these and other manners. GOD is to big to be in one place. the important thing is to arrive not how we get there.

Religions are simply a path way to God. What does he accept? Who knows. What have you to lose by taking a path?

How do you even know if there is only one god? Why not thousands? Maybe there are none at all. Maybe none of the religions on earth have gotten it right yet. That seems more likely to me.

Most world religions today only have one true G-d, tho they show Him in different ways.
It does not matter how they worship ------------worship and good living is enough.
Kahlil Gibran says, ''There are many doors to G-d''. I believe this.
