Who knows? That picture is an example of what is known as making a virtue out of necessity. And what better way to make something a virtue than by saying God wants you to do this?

It's a matter of opinion, my dear. Mohammad instructed that men should not lust after women. Of course he was addressing "male" behavior but men, fearing that their lust would deprive them of a place in heaven, decided that the best way to make certain that they wouldn't break the law was to cover women from head to toe - making their female figures unseen by them.
The sad thing is, yes this does work but behavior modification should take place at the source. It should not become the responsibility of the object of desire to make certain they are not lusted after. Mohammad, in fact, was addressing the hearts of men. This unfortunately became twisted.
This is yet another "proof" substantiating the fundamental problem with book religions. They have become the scourge of humanity. "Words" by their very nature can be skewed into multiple interpretations. Often to the detriment of the innocent.

NO, but I do not think he wants them stripped bare and prancing about with their faces painted like sluts either.
We women have gotten a very bad historical representation from this world. Made to believe that God has a particular SEX is the biggest travesty to this world that has ever existed. Made to believe that God has a 'favored' sex, that should be the one in chage, is the second travesty presented. Women were equals in this world until some man decided to tear down the temples dedicated to women and write that we were witches because of our intuitive powers and healing abilities, taking those positions and putting men in our places as they burned us, stoned us, maligned us, etecetera.
This world will have no balance and no peace until the women have re-established our natural rights next to man.

WRONG!!
Islam wants the woman to be something like this>>> http://www.fashionsera.com/pcat-gifs/products-small/Abaya-102.jpg
The idea behind a woman being covered is not to oppress her.
Islam gives equal rights to women to move in society BUT being covered.
Hijab (veil) is important cuz women are meant tto cover their bodies from the eyes of all men except for their husbands.
And not just muslims even nuns cover themselves from head to toe?...why not question them as well...?
Hijab is there in every religion....its the vulgarity of todays times which hhas made a woman something like an exhibition for all men to look at. A woman is more than that. She is pure.....and this purity can be achieved only by muslim women who know the importance of the VEIL.

Nobody knows what God wants. But that woman in particular has obviously made the decision of covering up so much.

in the Culture and Society the lady lives in this is their custom. just like the ladies dress the way they do in our Culture and Society. each has their place and none is better than the other as each practices free will with in the confines of the laws rules and mores of their respective Cultures and Societies. if we want our Culture and Society to be respected then we must in return respect other Cultures and Societies. neither is better than the other just a different way of life.

It's not a question of Religion but of culture.
Turkey is predominantly Islamic and it is illegal for women to be covered up.
ALSO. For those of you that don't know this. Christianity and Islam both worship the same God of Abraham. In English you call him God, in Spanish you call him Dios, in Arabic you call him Alah. But IT'S THE SAME GOD.
If you don't believe me, please check out below.

Of course not. Men and women sould all be treated equal. Heck, when Adam and Eve were alive, you didn't see Eve wrapped in a big old blanket. She was just as naked as Adam was.

What a great color of blue. The material looked nice.
If she wants to dress like that is up to her. If a man forced her to dress like that then its wrong.
If she believes her religion requires her to dress like that, again thats up to her and you shouldn't tell her otherwise

God wants women to do what ever they feel comfortable doing. If that means wearing clothing like that, then so be it.
