India is quickly running out of space. They can't move north, the tallest mountain range in the world stops them. They can't push into Pakistan without going nuclear. All they have is to move south through the Indian ocean, which is controlled by the US Navy.
Basically India needs to get their birth control policies in order before it is too late. The Chinese have a lot more space and they are already hardcore on birth control, they will force a woman to abort if the pregnancy is not authorized.

Well in terms of human potential they already are. No I'm not from there before you discount my opinion. I don't know about economics, it would be nice to think that is the way it works. All to often it isn't though. They have made economical improvememts and I believe that will continue.

yes and for peoples information US navy doesnt control indian ocean they just perform excersises with the indian navy in the indian ocean the indian navy controls the indian ocean for it safety from future attacks by pakistan
