I believe in both creation and evolution. I was taught both at school.
I do not understand why in America evolution is considered so bad!

You're' behind the times, most reputable scientists agree that Neanderthal man was fully human 100% homo sapiens.
So of course Christians believe in them.
They are descendants of Adam and Eve just like you are.
