the on post liquor store- the Class 6 you can be in uniform. as far as off post goes, that depends on the post regulations too. "you can add to, but not take away" as far as AR 670-1 (Army regulation). generally being in uniform off post is supposed to be for stopping for stuff like gas, or emergencies.

No, there are no regulations againts going to a liquor store and buying liquor in your uniform. At least for the Air Force, but I cant imagine the army being any different...considering the Army bases I have been to have liquor stores on the base.

Nope they have a liquor store right on base that people walk in and out of all day in uniform....

The only reg against liquor stores is that you cant park a GOV and any establishment that sells liquor (stores, bars, that sort of stuff)

I have seen people wearing uniforms into bars so either there is no rule or it never gets enforced. I do know that you are never supposed to socialize in BDUs off-post. You aren't suppose to wear a combat uniform out but the dress uiform is fine anywhere.

You can`t wear BDU`s in a liquor store, you can wear class A`s or B`s, you cant BDU in any store really, unless it is on your way home and you are picking up needed items for home, if you live off base., check AR 670-1

depends on the uniform.. the 'working uniform" BDU may not be worn off post for any reason EXCEPT to drop off or pick up children at school or daycare on the way to and from work. Also, you can wear them to get gas, but that's about it.

Any other uniform is permissable off base, although it wouldn't look good if you were staggering drunk while in it....

Not BDUs, that's covered under artical 670-1 of the UCMJ. The only authorized uniform for off base is the dress uniform.

No.... I was an MP from 1987-1995. No such regulation then, and I'm sure with all of the goings on in the military now, there is no such regulation now either.
