In particular, I'm looking for a way to make pizza crust from scratch with only basic equipment (i.e. conventional oven, mixer, and necessary ingredients). But you can include ways to make the pizza itself as well.

Please give me a recipe that you know will work. Thanks.

::PIZZA DOUGH (Bread Machine Pizza Dough) Recipe::

1-2 pizzas
3¼ hours 3 hours prep

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons dried granulated yeast
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup water, plus
2 tablespoons water

1- SOME PIZZA TOPPING IDEAS.

* Caramelised onions and roasted garlic.
* Mozzarella cheese, Camembert, Romano and Feta (for a really, really cheezy pizza!).
* Equal parts of basil pesto and olive oil mixed together with Parmesan or Romano cheese.
* Plus some roughly chopped sundried or SEMI-dried tomatoes, sliced black olives and LOTS of grated Mozzarella cheese, salt and lost of freshly ground black pepper!
* Cranberry jelly, shredded chicken, sliced Brie!
* Mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken and sliced avocado!

2- Place all the above ingredients in the order I have listed into the bread machine.

3- Select the dough cycle and press start!

4- When the dough cycle is complete, take the dough out of the machine and place in well greased bowl, and roll the dough around (in the bowl) thus'coating' it in oil.

5- Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1/2 an hour.

6- Knead the risen dough lightly.

7- To shape and bake: roll the dough into a circle.

8- Place on well greased baking tray or pizza pan.

9- Then add a topping of your choice and bake at 225'C.

**NOTE: for a nice crisp and very thin pizza, bake BEFORE adding the topping AND after!

BBQ Chicken Pizza:

We love the contrast of flavors provided by sweet tomato chutney, savory chicken, and sharp cheddar cheese.

1 (10-ounce) Italian cheese-flavored thin pizza crust (such as Boboli)
3/4 cup tomato chutney
2 cups chopped roasted skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 2 breasts)
2/3 cup diced plum tomato
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded extra-sharp white cheddar cheese
1/3 cup chopped green onions

Preheat oven to 450°.
Place crust on a baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 3 minutes. Remove from oven; spread chutney over crust, leaving a 1/2-inch border.

Top chutney with chicken. Sprinkle diced tomato, cheese, and green onions evenly over chicken. Bake at 450° for 9 minutes or until cheese melts. Cut pizza into 6 wedges.

Note: If you can't find tomato chutney, make your own. Combine 2 cups diced plum tomato, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 3 tablespoons cider vinegar, 1/8 teaspoon Jamaicañ jerk seasoning, and 1 minced garlic clove in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook 20 minutes or untril thickened.

Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 1 wedge)

Pizza Margarita, Naples' classic and the original pizza.

In mixer with dough hook, one package of dry yeast, 3 cups all purpose flour, teaspoon salt, one cup warm water, 1/4 cup olive oil. Knead until smooth, let rise until doubled in bulk. (90 minutes)

Roll out into a circle or square, to fit your pan. Sprinkle a bit of cornmeal on the pan, place dough on pan, stretching to fit. Roll over edges to make edge crust. Brush with olive oil, using whole peeled plum tomatoes from can, (I like MUIR GLEN brand), squash in your hand without excess juice and spread evenly over surface of pizza dough. Sprinkle finely chopped FRESH basil leaves over tomatoes. Arrange sliced mozzarella over tomatoes, sprinkle with real Parmesan cheese and a little oregano. If you like any other topping add it now, anchovies, cooked sausage slices, pepperoni slices. Bake at highest temperature (500+ degrees) in top 1/3 of oven.
Watch so it doesn't burn. Cut with scissors. Serve hot.

I am not good with the crust, so I buy frozen pizza dough. But what I put on top...MMMMMMM
Basil/cilantro pinenut pesto sauce
fried sausage
portabella mushrooms
bell peppers
onions
prochitto.
mozzarella cheese
First put dough on your pizza tin, leave a half inch edge all around, and do not cut off. spread on your pesto, line pesto with prochitto, top prochitto with sausage and mushrooms, top that with mozzarella cheese, top cheese with veggies. fold over excess dough to make a big "O" then bake until done.
