As per Hinduism there are 4 yugas Sat-1.7 million years, Treta -1.2 million years, Dwapar-0.8 million years and Kaliyuga-0.4 million years
all these 4 yugas X 1000 cycles make one day of the creator (Brahmaa) and then he ends the worlds and sleeps for a night and re-builds
Brahmaa has age of 100 such years and after that everything goes back to Unamnifested stage.
We are now in Kaliyuga (5000 years passed of kaliyuga)
So as per hinduism, the end of universe is not in the near future

Two Jews = three opinions: IMHO -- The goal of Judaism is peace on earth and justice for all. When we are well on the way to that goal, a great leader will arise who will help us in that goal and will be king of Israel (messiah/annointed one). The "end of times" will be restoration of the Garden of Eden.
