If you are willing to make a few phone calls, your local department of human services or even local shelters may be willing to give you a few minutes of their time to refer you to an agency or non-profit organization, ie; battered women shelters, or other agencies and abuse hotlines etc.... call the police! I have known those in your situation, some battered women shelters in this state will allow you to stay there, find employment and assist in the transition, please search every avenue that could lead to another eventually you will find someone to assist you under in your particular circumstances. There is help out there! Don't give up!

Have you tried any sort of social service agencies? Do you have an employer? If so is there any way they might advance the money and take it out of your paychecks gradually. I realize that is a longshot but if you are a good employee maybe you could appeal to them, you can't very well keep working for them and being productive if you and your kids are homeless.

Check out LOVE INC of Los Angeles. It is a christian organization that helps people with legitimate needs. I thought that there was a Love Inc in Los Angeles. I looked it up for you and there is not. There is one in Sacramento. The number is 916-383-3232 or 916-383-3999. Maybe they can direct you to someone who can help. It is not a church, just a christian organization.
