In 1897, Theodor Herzl formalized a Zionist political party.
That party then began using the world-wide influence of "Jews" to clamor for a homeland for Jews.
The result of which was a massive invasion of the Middle East by European and Russian atheists claiming to be Jews, financed by the Zionist organization formalized in 1897.
And, ultimately the creation of the state of Israel after decades of terrorism and violence by the Zionists against the native people, including Jews, Christians & Muslims.
Arabs & Muslims do not hate Jews or Christians (or Jerusalem). They are opposed to Russian & European atheists murdering people and stealing their land ("settlers"). And, they know that Zionists have no rightful claims, so get irritated with ignorant Christians (mostly American, some British) who support Zionism.

Hate Jerusalem? Never! It is the third most holy city in their religion, after Mecca and Medina. It is where Al Aqsa and The Rock of the Dome are. Why would they hate such a holy place?

No one in the islamic nation hates Jerusalem. In fact I am pretty sure that they consider it a holy site as well. It is Israel that most islamic nations despise because the U.S. gave them land that Palesitne had formerly occupied to form their nation. And yeah they didn't like that very much.
