I don't know about carcinogenic, but it certainly isn't good for you. It can contain lots of bacteria and other things. Always buy wild Pacific salmon.

Not unless it's the only thing you eat. There are risks associated with farmed fish because of how densely they are grown (requiring the use of antibiotics), but the risks are minimal compared with many other daily risks most people choose to ignore. If you really want to save people's lives, lobby to have crash helmets be mandatory for all occupants in a car, since that would save literally thousands of lives a year!

Life is inherently risky, and for some inexplicable reason as humans we are vulnerable to focussing on tiny risks we feel someone else is "imposing on us" instead of addressing the huge risks we can control ourselves.

If you are worried about salmon, don't eat it! But remember, travelling in a car poses a far greater risk of death. (So does taking a bath, by the way! About 100 people a year drown in the tub! More bizzare yet, 5 people a year drown in toilets!)

No but it will have a different taste than wild salmon because of the diet they are raised on in the farm.
