if you meant 4 weeks , there is kitty replacer milk and bottles that can be gotten from walmart and follow directions.

Sometimes the kitten may only seem like it was taken too early. I had a kitten that did that for a long time. If he is able to eat regular kitten food then just try to discourage him from suckling. It can turn into a bad habit later on. If he cannot take kitten food yet, I would suggest you go to your nearest pet store and purchase a kitten bottle and kitten formula. It's just like feeding a baby! ; p

By 4 monthes your kitten does not need to suck. He can eat dry kitten food. He may have the urge because he was taken too early, and you let him do it, so he doesn't know better. You need to teach him not to do that. Tap his nose, and tell him no when he does it. Be sure to give him lots of petting, and other affection. but be consistant when telling him no!

It's an emotional need and the kitten will probably always to it. My cat did it until the day she died. They do it for comfort, and it probably is because they were taken from the momma too young, mine was a bottle baby because her momma died. She went for the hands because thats the first thing she saw when her eyes opened, this huge people hand with a bottle. Its a comfort and love thing and they only do it to people they love and trust. You can't break it, but as he gets older, he'll probably do it more gently so it won't hurt.

4 months old!? Way too old to be nursing. I think your best bet is to wait for him to grow out of it. Maybe after he passes the kitten stage he will stop. Hey even some kids don't stop sucking their thumb till they are teenagers. Sounds like the kitty is using the sucking for comforting purposes. Good Luck!

buy a small dropper or VERY small bottle, fill it with warm milk and hand feed him. If u dont he may become malnutritioned! That or you should take him back to his mother and let him nurse. if the other kittens were the problem try to get the mother and the kitten alone and nurse him then

I had a cat that I assumed had been taken from its mother too soon and it did the same thing - it would suck my skin and claw with its paws - it didnt hurt us so I never tried to stop it as I saw it as a thing that seemed to comfort the cat - she did this long into adulthood so Im sorry I cant tell you how to stop it but I do understand what your talking about.

if he is four months old , no he doesn't need to nurse anymore , he may be doing this as a form of security, Kinda like when a child sucks his thumb. Just be patient and he will eventually stop on his owne.

Kittens are usually weaned by at least six weeks old, so you just need to feed him kitten food and water.

If he is 4 months old he is old enough to be away from his mother. When he start to suck just put him down.
