A number of years ago, while working at Shepard's/McGraw-Hill, I was involved in the development of a software product, DWTA (Drafting Wills and Trust Agreements). If I recall correctly, it was based on the text by Attorney Robert (Bob) Wilkins.

This was an easy to use product that prompted the user with a series of questions, then drafted an appropriately structured instrument.

It contained state-specific provisions as well as the ability to edit the results in any manner seen fit.

I believe the product was later sold to Thomson (after my time there), here is the link to their DWTA product.

Let's see...

You've got a boatload of stuff, and you want a "rock-solid" will, but you're unwilling to pay a lawyer for a will? You're concerned about what happens after you die, but don't want to pay the person who'd you trust to keep your case out of probate, and your wishes followed?

I hate paying for legal fees too. However, I don't like paying for 1/4" drill bits, but I need 1/4" holes, so I pay for the drill bits (and the drill).
