The easiest way then something is 'too' much of anything is to dilute it with some kind of fluid... water, if possible... then adjust the flavor accordingly.

By cutting the taste with water you are reducing the proportinate level of whatever spice is the problem.

try putting a raw potato in it. potatoes absorb salt so that might work. You also might want to try adding some water more beans, tomatoes to try and no other spice to try and even out the amount you have verses salt.
