Yes, I had a parrot that would squawk and fall off her perch, make a ton of noise and wake me up. I would talk to her gently and she went back to bed. I had to turn the lights on a sec or she wouldn't get back on the perch. As long is it isn't too often, I wouldn't worry about it. All animals dream just like we do and not all dreams are good.

I bought my bird a bird-cozy. This is a stuffed animal (bird) that straps to the bars of the cage. They snuggle up to it at night and it helps them sleep. In the wild they would be cuddled to another bird and this wouldn't happen. If your bird had a mate a nightmare may make him stir a little but he would go right back to sleep.

Yes, my daughters parakeet Bubbles has these. For Bubbles he will screech and flap his wings, but if we leave a nightlight on for him he will sleep through the night just fine.

Good luck with your 'keet!

cover your bird's cage at night with a thin cloth and put a night light in the room.

My keet had these at least once a month it seemed. If I talked to him and uncovered his cage, he calmed down. I think each bird reacts differently to how yo calm them down though.

Most birds do this, and if one gets scared..they all flip out..
try putting a towel over the cage...and let them know before you come into their room....I usally say "Here I come", and then it doesn't scare them....good luck..

my keets don't have it, but my cockatiel did---every single night! my vet had me give the bird benadryl and it stopped it. talk to your vet about this(don't give any meds without checking with a vet first--you could o.d. the bird)
