Of course I would rather my kids stay in our faith but one of the basic principals of Christianity is free agency. People are all free to choose their own path. My kids are my kids and I will always love them no matter what they do.

Why would they be upset? I don't understand how anyone could answer yes to this question. Isn't religion/faith a matter of personal choice?

If any of my children or grand children chose another religion I would be upset ,yes. One system is as stagnant as the next. I desire that they go forward into new Revelation. The Urantia Book is such. Check it out.

I want what makes my kids happy as long as it does not hurt them or anyone else. To be upset about their personal choices would be selfish of me.

Yep, I would.
But I'd also want to make sure they are fully brief, which hopefully I did over the years.
