A double-blind test is a control group test where neither the evaluator nor the subject knows which items are controls. A randomized test is one that randomly assigns items to the control and the experimental groups.
The purpose of controls, double-blind, and randomized testing is to reduce error, self-deception and bias.

Prospective, randomized double blind studies are well respected because they are most likely to be bias free. Double blinding of a study means that neither the test subjects nor the investigators are aware of which arm of the study they are in (eg. one arm gets a test head-ache remedy and the other gets a placebo). The treatment of the participants is revealed at the time of data analysis. There are other versions of investigation, but this one is likely the highest quality.

A double blind test is where all the materials to be tested are code numbered, so the researchers do not know who gets the real materials. Then they can not effect the results. Also the people who are being tested on do not know so they wont effect the results.

A double blind study is when the recipients of the medication and the people administering the medication are not advised of which dose is real and which is the placebo.
This is done to assure that there is no discussion of the medication takes place that may influence the results.
This is very important to get accurate results.

Its called a double blind study, usually done when randomized control trial studies (RCT) are done.
Here the researchers and the subjects are allotted to the manipulation group.
For choosing the subjects randomization followed by random assignment is used. For the researchers they are not aware to which group they are giving the manipulation or the treatment.
