As you can tell by all the other answers most of the nutrients are saved by good juicers. The problem with juice versus whole fruit isn't from a loss of nutrients it is actually that beverages are not as filling as whole foods. When you drink juice you actually end up taking in a lot of extra calories per day simply because you are just adding juices to your diet without taking anything else away.

I don't think it loses the vitamins, and fresh juice is better than bottled drinks because bottled drinks are cooked, pasteurized or whatever. You might, however, lose some of the fiber associated with eating the whole fruit (this is what I think, but I'm not an expert on it).

When we juice fruit and veg they lose a lot of their goodness. There are nutrients a plenty in apple peel or pectin and indeed in any pulp from any fruit or veg.nutrients are lost through boiling, chopping etc so its really best to eat lots of raw veg and whole fruit through the week, supplemented with your juice.

Because you aren't digesting the pulp, juiced fruit only counts as one of your five a day fruits and veg no matter how much you chuck in there. It's still very good for you though.

I'm sure there's controversy of which ones are better, etc. But I think it's really good nutritionally. I know it's much better than juice in the carton or bottle. . .
