god i love your username...very evocative...anyway, why dont you want to go? friends sometimes think that they are 'helping' with things like this.Just explain to them that you are happy as you are and when you feel you want to date someone you think you'll be ok sorting it on your own but if youre not able to find a date alone that you will definitely enlist their help as they are obviously so capable,lol. I would just tell them that you don't like set-ups and prefer to let things happen naturally. It is really hard to know if two people will hit it off, attraction just happens without explanation, not because someone wants it to.

Simply tell the person that you are "sort of" seeing someone and don't really want to take a chance of jeopardizing the possibility of it turning in to something more.... and leave it at that.
