its really bugging me and i cant figure out whats wrong.

that's usually the result of a speaker wire short or a case of too many speakers hooked up to one receiver.

Unplug everything from the receiver and then power up to verify that the receiver is ok.

connect one set of speakers at a time, to figure out which one is the problem, do not brige or mess around with changing the spkr ohm use the right spkrs

correct, rewire all speakers to ensure that they are in all the way and no cables are touching each other.onkyo does that to save your *** from spending lots of money later.

sounds like its going into "protect mode" unplug everything try again, if it still does it send 4 repair
