Anybody thinks the end time is gettin nearer, any reason for it?

People say we always have had wars and famine but read on

“All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:8

The word Jesus uses for sorrows is the word “odin” which translated means contractions or labor pains.

The closer the contractions the sooner the arrival

What are the three areas that Jesus said to watch out for?

Natural world

Religious World:
It is estimated that about 1000 people in America alone claim they are Jesus

Political World:
In the 20th century over 200 million people died as a result of war
There are 38 armed conflicts going on in 28 nations
Terrorist attacks in 2003 totaled 175. It rose to 655 in 2004

Natural World
Almost 1/6 of the world’s population can’t meet basic nutritional needs
Pestilence- AIDS, SARS, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease, West Nile Virus
The Hurricanes of the past few yrs
In the first 1500 yrs after Jesus the earth averaged about 2 major earthquakes each century
But it made a dramatic increase over the next 4 centurites until it reached about 130 in the 1900s

The end time is getting "nearer".

It's been getting "nearer" since the beginning of time itself.

Of course, how SOON it gets here is a matter of what WE AS A PEOPLE DO ABOUT IT. I don't expect most people to understand that, but heck I'll throw it out there anyways. Yeah, we actually have control of the happenings in this world, we just have to get up off our butts and do something about it.

No, I do not think "the end time" is getting nearer. The "signs" people use to justify the end are universal human phenomena: war, strife, division. Revelation is an allegory for Christian living, not a history of how the end is going to happen.

Seems to me we all are now in the third "day".

Last "days" was 1->2000AD...was peril us times.
Last "day" (beyond 2000AD)...is resurrection time
Especially if "third day" also the seventh, if counting.

Funny thing, in my Bible, in Luke 21:8,
Deceivers say: "the time draweth near".
I wonder what time they sayers mean?
