In order to better our democracy it is of the utmost importance to try and grasp your political identity. If you don't know and are unwilling to figure it out your just a sheep in the herd. Thinking that your out of the loop and can't make any kind of difference either way is an ignorant stance to take because all it takes to lose a right or position dear to you is the "stroke of a pen" and once that action is taken, it's very hard to get it back. True politics are not taught in the classes you've had in school just history and definitions, so the reality of what actually goes on in the world won't hit you till you wrap your mind around it or something political affects you directly in a negative manner and you become disgusted, since it doesn't make sense with what you've always been told. You people are the future, in order to make sure this country stays on a proper path, your understanding of your place in politcs is the key. You are the policy makers of the future-time to step up

There are politics classes now? I only ever learned current events and about politics through my parents and the news. I'm 15 and I can wrap my mind around political situations and I've had a political conciense since I was 12. I don't get you point. I don't think kids should have to wait 'til they're disgusted to be politically aware.
