Find out if they serve doughnuts at their services. That's how I would decide.

The harder you try and pull him back from the clutches of Scientology the harder he is going to try and see what it is all about. Let him join. (If he has half a brain) It should only take a week to a month for him see that Scientology IS A MONEY MAKING SCHEME AND A WACK-O CULT.
He'll lose alot of money, but sometimes that's the only way for someone to learn. Remember: the second any church/cult asks for money look to the leader. If he/she is wearing/driving something MUCH nicer than you you're in the wrong place. Show me where any religious text says that your pastor must have a $3,000 suit (i.e. Rev. Jackson) or a mansion (Falwell, Bakers, et. al.) in order to preach the word of their god. Amazingly the Catholic church's pastors live humble lives. So do Rabbis. SOME Muslim clerics. Nuns, monks and Buddhists, too! Think about it.

Approach him with love and show him this , and ask him to do some research about this group BEFORE he decides to switch over. Also ask him to talk to his PAstor..
If Scientology and Dianetics is "the only thing that can show you who you really are" , what about all those who came before Scientology and Dianetics? Why would such a "helpful" and "tested" route to truth and self-improvement have been withheld (by God?) from the human race until one Lafayette Ron Hubbard finally came along in the middle of the twentieth century? The fact that Hubbard alleges Taoism to be "an ancestor to Scientology" and the scientologist "a first cousin of the Buddhist" notwithstanding, certainly no one had ever heard of ARC breaks, engrams, electropsychometers, pre-Clears, MEST, Operating Thetans, disconnection, and hatting before 1911.
Might it rather be that this absolutely ingenious, brilliant, multi-talented man who traveled thousands of miles, spoke and wrote over 40 million words on the subject of Scientology during his lifetime, sold millions of books, and made millions of dollars, had actually, deliberately gone about fulfilling his own 1949 musing (related six years before establishing the Church of Scientology in W.D.C.), that "if a man wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion."
in terms of Scientology and Christianity, consider that
Scientology "has no dogma concerning God"but Christianity does. Further, Scientology denies orthodox Christian teaching regarding hell, sin, the exclusivity of salvation through Christ ..For Scientology to try to "include" Christianity is a little like the Mafia announcing that all FBI agents are cordially welcome to join the Mob. The two, by definition, stand in diametrical opposition to one another. You can¹t have it both ways and, by implying that you can, Scientology clearly loses credibility. The Church of Scientology.
A do-it-yourself salvation, science fiction group that masquerades as the true Church, lightly sprayed with a thin veneer of Christianity. Seeks to destroy through litigation and character assassination those who speak out against the group.

HAHA YOU JUST MADE MY DAY! What a hilarious story!!! I just burst out laughing.
Seriously, though. There's nothing you can do. Beliefs are something that humans have the remakable ability to hold on to. I could just as well laugh at you for deciding to join the Christian faith, but that just wouldn't be politically correct would it?
I would say to just support your cousin through this process. It is obvious that she is very confused with her life at the moment. Don't confront her unless it's absolutely necessary.

Show him a video of Tom Cruise jumping the couch, then point out to him that "Scientology" is not really a "religion", but a cult invented by a doctor in the 1950's.

You can't do anything if your cousin has already made his decision. The best thing you can do is be supportive. The more you pressure your cousin to come back to the Church, the more your cousin will become resentful of you. You should pray for your cousin and ask God to guide his decision.

Wish him well in his spiritual search. He's using his brain by looking at other sources of spiritual nurturing. If you study only one religion, you have only one piece of the puzzle. Study many religions and you get the big picture.

Go with him. Tom Cruise is a scientologist, and he seems to have it pretty well together.
Seriously, what do you normally do with your time? Try doing that.
For the same reason he wouldn't be able to talk you out of your faith, you won't be able to talk him back into it.

I would ask him to ask Tom Cruise to introduce me to Nicole Kidman. She is a fox!
You shouldn't bother doing anything. If Christians are perfectly happy believing a lie, why can't he too be happy believing another lie?
