i'm confused here. if you pay child support and get married is the income of the couple considered for child support payments? is this what you are asking?
if so the answer is no. The non custodial parent (NCP) income is the only one considered for child support payments to the custodial parent (CP). If the NCP gets a raise at work and the CP somehow finds out about it. The CP can take the NCP back to court to get an increase in payments. It works the other way too. If the NCP gets laid off or fired the NCP can go to court and have the payments reduced.
Your states child support agency needs to represent both parents now not just the CP.

OK let's see if I understand. You are paying child support and your ex has remarried? Yes you are still responsible for paying support for that child. The new spouse doesn't have to pay the support, because that step parent is not ordered to pay. Payment is due until age 18, in most states. Now if that child gets married or becomes emancipated then the support stops.
Because that child is now an legal adult.
I remarried and am still entitled to support for my two children.

If your are paying child support for your child even if your ex gets married it is still your responsibility to support that child. I have never heard of both parents paying.

The true father must continue to pay child support in the same manner as before if you remarry, unless your new husband wants to adopt the children. If your new husband adopts (and of course your ex agrees) then child support payments would stop, and your ex would lose any control of the children.

are you asking if the child who is receiving support gets married does the child support continue??? I Do not think so.
once you get married you if you are under aged are an emanciapated minor, and the obligation stops.
Now if you are the custodial parent and you get married. They child support continues.
hope that helps

they pay according to both incomes (that's how it is where i live anyway). if the noncustodial parent gets married and his new wife has a job, they will count a portion of her income too.
