For some people religion is VERY important, and although much good has been done in the name of religion, personally I believe religion, if you need it, should be an utterly personal experience
because the practicing of mass/public religion is potentially a big problem as we're seeing now with the Muslims but also how it's used by people like David Koresh or Jim Jones or the guys who commited mass suicide to go join the UFO hiding behind a comet.
All I can think of sometimes is how goofy people can get and how there's always someone to come out of the woodwork to exploit it.

not just muslims but other religions as well has brought death and misery to the human race since the old ages...
but i don't think religion itself is the problem. it's more to do with politics and the selfish people who wants more power, so they use religion as a propaganda for their desires.

religion is by its own right for one who's feel lost and seeking divine help so its a simple one on one interactive with oneself and god himself

if one takes reference from the koran or bible or torah is there really a need to label him a muslim or christian which naturally will grew in time for a political motive?

this is the real problem of many arrogant and maybe ignorant religious followers whom without realizing they've labellised and segregated the human race and of course due to irresponsible preachers/leaders brainwashing the illiterates and poor miserable souls.

so when segregation succeeds, leaders and followers alike will apparently try as hard as they could to keep their religious business.its been their livelihood even if it means to kill themselves

sincerely, to all you followers and believers out there
do your god really wants these?
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE IN THE NAME OF YOUR GOOD RELIGION?

God bless
there are still out there some people with a reasonable religion called HUMAN

You're totally right.
I don't mind people practising religion, as long as it was actually their own choice to do so. That means no children should be exposed to religion at home or school, there should not be signs out the front of churches telling us to accept Jesus and there shouldn't be anyone preaching on television or on the radio.

You are right only to the extent that any religion which chooses to distort it's core believes into extremism is a danger not only to itself, but to all those who are in it's path. Islam or Christianity by themselves are not bad, but when you add "fundamentalists" at the end of either one of those they become dangerous and intolerent.

That's because you only look at the bad of it. There are many things that make religion very spiritually enriching.

It's when people get the impression that they are "THE WAY" and start enforcing it on others that it becomes a problem.

yes, religion should come from the heart not from interpretation from someone you have never met taking away the chance to judge the writer/interpreter directly to see if they are fit to fill you mind with there delude ideas. real truth can not be grasped by a finite mind,it should be experienced directly through intuition,to approach the real you dont need scriptures or organized religion, all should free

no you are wrong. Millions have been helped by men and women of faith. And multiple millions have had their life changed by the power of Jesus Christ. don't throw the baby out with the bath water

also, evolution is a religion of its own, it takes a lot more faith to believe that it rained on a rock millions of years ago and suddenly life came out, than to believe in a loving Creator who created all things through His son, Jesus Christ
