No. HD-DVD's can't be read by DVD drives--HD-DVD's require a different laser, and pack their information much more densely than DVD's.

I figure that in the future, when HD-DVD computer drives become available, someone will figure out a way to rip them, but since there aren't too many of them out yet (I think there are a couple of Toshiba laptops that have 'em), it's not happening yet.
