I've used something similar to the 7.62 SLR with the same calibre, the Finnish Valmet Assault Rifle (looks exactly like it). It's a powerful weapon, though the calibre is unnecessary large. The European standard of 5.25 (?) should suffice for most weapons, as well as giving the rifle a straighter path of fire.
I can't remember if the SLR had the foldable butt, but with that it is quite versatile on top of being really easy to use. Ahh, my precious 627801 you served me well.

I can't really say anything about the SA80. :)

Neither, The Barrette Model 80 does the best work. I have one. 50cal MG round if it hits, its dead. will go through a Chevy small block at 1/4 mile.

Cheap home military weapon, the SKS.
