When I go to "vote for undecided questions," Sometimes I recognize my answer and vote for myself, if I still think my answer is the best. It has never resulted in me getting best answer, though. Maybe karma. Who knows?

Thinking about that, I get the same feeling I do when I see a sporting event or some other competition and someone applauds for himself or herself of his/her own team.
Usually I say at the tv screen "oh, don't applaud yourself, that's rude" and then hope that person / team loses.
Yes, I know, you could argue that the person is applauding the *other* players on the team ... but it still seems rude and arrogant to me.
Voting for yourself just seems lame and cheesy.
Personally, I'd rather 'win' a fair and honest challenge. But that's me.

Morally, yes. I mean, if you didn't think your answer was good, you wouldn't put it there. So if you honestly think it's the best answer, don't let it being your's stop you.
