Finally some one had the courage to call a spade a spade. The Pope quotes a scholar from the Middle Ages who said Mohammed was spreading Islam through the sword. Violence to those who opposed it, or believed differently. And the word inhuman worked its way into the read.

Next thing, the Islamo –Fascist's want the Pope killed. They burn churches in Gaza and the West Bank, murder a Nun in Somalia, and declare a day of anger.

The Pope should have just sat back and a day later said “see what I mean?” Any religion that preaches killing, can not possibly worship the same God we do.

Yet there are many in this country who choose to ignore these actions, and their many threats claiming they will turn the whole world Islamic. Instead those people, like NBC’s Matt Lauer and others in the media would rather worry about torturing enemy combatants, these same people who have vowed to kill the Infidels, that’s us by the way.

How do you negotiate with people who want to die? You cant. Even the quran the muslim holy book say's its ok to lie if you beleive its for the betterment of islam (ie: signing treaties, political agreements)

If radicalisim is only 10% of the muslim population why isnt the other 90% speaking out against them? They say islam is a peaceful religion, but how is it a peacful reliogion when their prophet is a warrior (mohammed). Think about it, everytime someone says anything negative about islam, muslims immediatly call for their deaths (that author back in the 80's who wrote a book critical of islam whos name escapes me at the moment. The dutch cartoonist who drew a picture of mohammed with a bomb in his turbine, and now the pope.)

Wake up people! before it's too late.

Which go hand in hand with securing the border's Al-queida has already said they have smuggled nukes into the country through mexico and have warned muslims in NYC and Washington D.C. to leave. these people do not make idle threat's. What will it take for the west to wake up? Two American cities being vaporized?

The threat to what? Overconsumption? Our destruction of the planet? Our interference in the Arab countries' governments so that our oil companies can get 'our' oil and keep it to themselves so the prices will stay high?

The Pope should just shut down the Catholic religion and say, "We Apologize For The Inconvenience."
Hopefully, all other religion will follow suit.

Not all Muslims are fundamentalists, that's like saying all Christians believe in the Rapture when it's actually a small proportion. I'm sure there are psycho Christians that do psycho things too

Sure, there was one murder supposedly in protest of that statement. But during those protests Christians killed more than one Muslim in Iraq, yet you don't say Christians are violent.

you seem to be forgetting how many people were killed and still are killed in the name of Christianity - from the Crusaids to the slaughter of Native Americans men women and children to what is currently happening in Northern Ireland and has been happening for years to killing people like abortion doctors and most Christians support the death sentence....

learn your history before you point fingers...

The situation with the Moslem's does seem dire. All religions suffer the oppressions of fundamentalists {regressionists} but the Moslem's seem more susceptible at this time. If we can avoid a world wide conflict then I think that their religion which is a young one will enter the modern world. I will welcome them.

The Catholic church, Christians or Jews whining about "terrorists" or "killing innocent civilians" is comparable to the KKK whining about racism.

Why don't all you religious freaks go out into the middle of a desert and fight to the death? And then the winner can kill himself as a favor to the civlized world.

Well, they gave themselves all sorts of negative publicity. Did it over those Danish cartoons too. You hardly have to do anything to discredit them now. Just say something moderately offensive, get it publicized, and sit back and watch them riot. It's a 'peace riot' mind you, they're rioting to protest being called violent and easily incensed. When they start burning people in effigy and calling for blood to be spilled, what they are really trying to say is,'naw, it doesn't bug us at all, we're not overly sensitive or anything'.

Oh good grief. The bible tells its followers to do the same thing. Take care of your own side of the street before worrying about others.
