Is it illegal to kill and eat dog in england?

We have a 3 year old collie. It was hit by a car and has lost control of it's bowels. We don't want it anymore. I tried dog in thailand and it's quite nice. Can I get in trouble if i eat it? Does anyone know any good recipes?

Killing an animal you own is not illegal. But cruelty is. You need to ensure you kill it in a stress free and painless way. This will also help to enhance the tenderness of the meat. It is important to ensure the animal is disease free - you will need to check the internal organs (including lymph nodes) for diseases.

Proper butchering is also important - as is hanging the beast for the right length of time.

As for recipes - treat like lamb - and make some curries. Or slice thinly and barbecue.

And if your three year old son or daughter got hit by a car and lost control of its bowels would you eat him or her, too? Apparently human flesh is supposed to taste like pork, so should be pretty nice with a bit of horseradish sauce.
Collies are beautiful dogs. Where are you? I would take the dog to the vet and see what can be done. If nothing can be done, then at least I would give it a decent end to its life.
I don't know what else to say - you have really upset me.

YA KNOW WHAT??! if u even think this is a funny joke u are wrong, reading what u just said made me sick, i dont think how u thinks this is right? u are a very derranged person how about if ur son, mom , daughter was ran over ad lost control of their bowels u gonna eat them too? ya know what i didnt think so...u need to send it to the RSPCA or the pdsa AND DONT U EVER HAVE ANOTHER ANIMAL FOR THE REST OF UR LIFE ......but if u really think u wanna eat him/her..b4 u do look into it's eyes and really think of what the dog is going thru....look deeply then see if u want to eat him/her or not

are you sick, your not much of a dog lover are you. the poor thing would be better put down as no one wants a dog with bowel problems and don't get another one as you only seem keen if it is in good health, how would you like to be treated if you were ill, not threw on the street or given to a cannibal to be eaten

You freak, you should be in a mental hospital you psycho!!! You are really sick, I suggest you take the dog to the rspca, pdsa or just give it to the vets before you hurt it and do something you regret. You are a danger to society, your family and animals so maybe you should shoot yourself and let your dog eat you for a treat!!

Hav the dog put down by the vet because its never going to get rehomed, dont eat the dog its just cruel and strange, just take it to the vets

you shouldn't be allowed to keep animals, how can you have a dog for 3 years then just because of an accident you don't want it anymore do you not love your dog and whats with the "it" take it to the vet and it will be humanely put to sleep, your sick!
