CCleaner
HijackThis
Yahoo Ad Killer (d/l yahoo toolbar then remove, left w/ this)
These have all been rated top notch by computer magazines, tv shows, news, etc. All can be found through Google and all are FREE to download.
I personally use all of the above and have for over a year. Also am a computer programer and have had no problems since the use of them all.
Ditch Nortons and any other paid virus programs you have as they are pure junk.
