No, but I wished they had. When I was 16 or so, I had this boyfriend that I had broken up with before and then went out with him again sometime later. The second time he became real obsessive. I eventually broke up with him and he started stalking me. He even chased me around my neighborhood (we were both driving our cars) and I had to stop at a neighbor's house where my dad was to help me. It was scary then. Just the other day I thought I saw him at the store. I had no idea if he was still in town. I don't even know if it was him. It had been years since I had seen him last. Sam

my 1st bf, his parents made us break up and my 2nd bf my parents made us break up. what a great coincidence rite? but i never regret my parents choice or his parents choice coz when i think back he is not suitable for me. but i still miss them especially my 1st bf.i do really2 miss him but what can i say, i cant turn the time backward but if only i had the chance how i wish i can make his parents love me and accept me in the family. but that is 'if only'...... :( so if u really love him fight for it but if ur parents still insist, let the time to heal the pain.

Oh yes. When I was 14, my mother actually shipped me across the state to my father's house just to make this happen.
You have to realize that most parents try their best - but their best doesn't mean it's right. I'm not sure how old you are, but if this boyfriend thing is meant to be, it will - regardless of how your parents feel (or what they do).

My mom tried her hardest when I was dating my boyfriend. She would say mean things, not allow him over, not let me go places with him. Did everything she could think of to split us up.
I am now 30 and have been with the same person for 16 years. Needless to say,all my mom's work backfired big time!.
If it is meant to be, it will be. Talk to your parents, and tell them they need to let you make your own decisions.

Yes, when I was 15 years old they wouldn't let me date a much older guy. They were well within reason and their rights to do so, I just didn't see it back then. LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS!

No!! But, my daughter did !!...She just never got along with him and didnt like me dating him and told me so..IN FRONT OF HIM !!
I was so embarrassed I told him, I think you had just better go, I dont think it would be wise to see you again..sorry...
He went protesting, and my daughter went to her room very smug with herself...I never did see him again, I hope he is having a beautiful life...Mine has been beautiful also..no long term damage...haha...

nope. my parents allow me to choose my partner for me. in which, i allow my parents to get to know my boyfriend more. it's a way of showing respect for my parents somehow.
it's nice to know how my parents think of my boyfriend. and by introducing my boyfriend to my parents, i get to learn if my boyfriend accepts and respects my parents in return.
