Maybe the guy wanted to be honest with the chic, that way the chic would know what's going on, and have the opportunity to hang or don't hang out. Me personal wouldn't hang out with a guy that was attractive and has a girl we may get close and someone will get hurt..

It is either: 1) He is looking for someone to cheat on his girlfriend with. Or, 2) In case things don't work out with his girlfriend and they end up breaking up, he has someone waiting in the wings to take her place and doesn't have to go through the hassle of finding/getting to know someone. My vote is with answer #1. Hopefully, we'll get some guys to answer this question so that we can get some more insight as to the real answer.

One would assume that the man is telling the woman that he is in a relationship but would like to see the other person as well. I wonder what the other woman would say about this. That might be a good question to ask.
