JELLO PUDDING CAKE

white cake
1 large box of strawberry jello
2 cups water
vanilla pudding
milk
cool whip

Make white cake according to directions on the box.

While cake is still hot poke it with holes using the bottom of a wooden spoon. Dissolve Jello in 2 cups of boiling water. Pour over cake. Make sure to get over the entire cake.

Let cool. Make vanilla pudding according to the box directions.

Cover cake with pudding. Cover the pudding layer with a layer of Cool Whip.

This can be made lighter by using apple sauce instead of oil in the cake. Use sugar free Jello and Pudding. Light Cool Whip.

Here is a recipe for jello cake, it really is very good!

Ingredients:
One box of white cake mix
Two small boxes of jello, any flavor
Two cups of water
Cool Whip

Directions:
Bake white cake according to directions on box, using two round cake pans or one long cake pan. Let the cake COMPLETELY cool before next step. After the cake is cool, take a fork and poke holes all over the cake.
Boil the water. Pour one cup of the boiled water into each jello mix. Stir each jello and water mix until the powder is dissolved. Slowly pour the jello solutions onto the cooled cake. I usually designate one side of the cake for each flavor of jello, but you can do it any way you like. Put the cake in your refrigerator for a few hours until it has cooled again. Cover with cool whip, and enjoy!

Change to: servings US Metric
2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry gelatin
2 (8 ounce) containers frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 lb prepared angel food cake, torn into small pieces
2 cups diced strawberries

In medium bowl, combine 2 cups boiling water and jello; stir until it's dissolved.
Then add 1 cup cold water.

Mine is the same as Velvet Rose's recipe. But instead of two boxes of jello, it is one box of jello and one box of vanilla pudding mix.

You prepare the pudding mix so it is set up ahead of time.

You prepare as Velvet rose did.
I use 1/2 the amount of water and 1 can of soda. (Strawberry soda) to mix with the jello (strawberry jello)
When the cake has cooled and the jello has set, pour the prepared pudding mix on top. Then top with whip cream.
You can experiment with different jellos and soda. As long as the same flavor. I have tried cherry, lemon lime, grape.
This cake my mom requests for her birthday.
