Given the fact the universe is infinite & eternal, how can you fit Gods into that arrangement?
An eternal universe does not need and cannot accomodate a creator.

An eternal, infinite universe has no beginning or ending so the bible is clearly wrong. (as usual)

Andy the paradox results from the invention of an imaginary God and trying to make him (it?) fit in where he cannot be accomodated.
To resolve the paradox, you eliminate the unnecessary and paradoxical "creator God."

AT, an eternal universe requires no creation. It's eternal which means it had no beginning and has no end.
I have no reason to "explain life." The entire universe is "alive." Humans are made of the same "stuff" as everything else in the universe. The only difference is how it is organized.
Life is likewise eternal and infinite.

Jengan, thanks for the bible lesson, but the infinite universe includes a few more things than the earth. The earth is totally insignificant to the universe

I subscribe to the Feuerbach theory of thought in that people created gods; I also apply the law of conservation of energy to spiritual forms, in that if people put enough of their own energy through prayer, worship, whatever into something, the energy goes there--and can eventually take on its own consciousness, but that's another long rambling explanation.
To put it succinctly, we are the creators.

An eternal universe can accomodate a creator that is not governed by physical laws of time and space. God is both immanent-he exists in all things-and exists outwith all things. That is the paradox that has to be grasped. God won't fit cosily into any box that we humans want to construct-he is. And it's as simple as that.
