Ha! I like your question! I can't wait to read the varied answers you are going to get for this one! No doubt, some are going to slam you for being a lazy, unloving, disobedient child of God! (Judge not lest ye be judged people!)

Churches are confusing...since human beings tend to screw it (religion) up, my feelings are that God knows who I am at three in the morning, and He knows who and where I am in my heart...much more important than where I am on Sunday's! I am sure being a part of a church family has some tangible and intangible benefits, but to be honest, I sum up religion and the formal practices of religion more like Elvis Presley did: When asked why he wore every religious medallion (Star of David, crucifix, etc.) he replied, "I'm just not going to miss Heaven on a technicality man!"

Ha!

GOD is to big to be in just one place. family bonding can start with Sunday Church services and continue the rest of the day. it did when I was growing up. through the week we always had bonding as our family always did things together as much as possible in addition to our own separate activities. both are important for family well being.

I think God wants us building bonds at home and developing family values 7 days a week. I think He wants us to strengthen each others faith, obey the sabbath, and learn his gospel on His appointed day, whether that is Sunday, Saturday, or any other day.
If you aren't getting what you need from your church on Sunday, perhaps you should switch churches.

Last time I checked God had given us six other days to bond with our families and asked if we could bond with Him and our spiritual family on the one other day of the week. And church doesn't last the whole day anyways, so you can bond with your family after church if you feel that Sunday is important for family bonding.

modernly, church isn't always as 'important' as it was even 50 years ago, not to say religion is any different, but there were times that the only way you likley would meet a spouse was during that one day a week at the church, you might not see anyone else the entire week. It was more of a way to get people together and socialize.

God would want you to go church and give him some praise. You did all you want during the week and now you want sit at home. God kept you safe and out harm's way and you cannot give him one day. What if God was like you then what?

The bible tells us not to forsake the assembly of God. But, he said were 2 of 3 are gathered in my name I am in the mist of them. So if there are 2 or 3 in a family and they give God his praise and worship he deserves, I don't see anything wrong with this.

Numbers 10:3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

God does not want Sunday's off! He wants us to worship Him on the sabbath! Try obeying Him instead of second guessing Him.

Deuteronomy 5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
