Not just protein, but also lack of oil and fat in your diet. Oil and fat are essential to good health, good skin and good hair and nails. You need that fat in your diet. Make sure it's healthy oil and fat and not chemical fat or saturated fat. Olive oil is a fantastic way of getting good fat into your diet. You can use it for salad dressings and it's healthy.

hair loss can be attributed to a number of things: protein deficiency is one possibility. However, more than likely stress is your culprit, depending on your age and gender. Another possibility is a condition called alopecia. If you are a mature male, your problem could be male pattern baldness, a natural condition for many males.

Try a more protein-rich diet, coupled with a good multi-vitamin, and reduce stress factors. give it a month or two, if your problem is not alleviated, see a specialist. IT COULD BE ALOPECIA.

is returning after I resumed eating small amounts of meat.

It could also be that the shampoo brand that you use is too strong.
