I'd go for a Vauxhall corsa. Vauxhalls are reliable. Go for one from a "good area" - if they can afford a £250,000 house they can afford to have the car serviced regularly. Check wear on the pedal rubbers. bad drivers hit the brakes a lot and it gives you a better indication of how the car has been driven than how many miles are on the clock.Ideally, one 3 to 4 years old. But my car would sell on a garage forecourt to some idiot with a bad credit rating for £3,000.
