I play Runescape.
Depends on your combat levels. Best bet is try killing Harpie Swarms, they drop quite a few coins, i once had 10k in just under an hour. Bear in mind you need a lit bug lantern and you cant hold a shield at the same time, so take food.
Another suggestion, if you can smith steel plate, make a load then sell them, you get 1200gp for each one in Varrock. Dont sell them all at once though as the offered price drop. Sell 5 at once then go back an hour later or so and sell 5 more etc. Takes longer but you can make a bit that way.
Lastly, if you can High Alc, make stuff and high alc it.
