Well for starters ditch the friend if you cant share a secret without her blabbing it to everybody then she aint worth having.Secondly its probably as embarrasing for him as it is for you so the nastiness is just a front.Hes trying to hide the fact that whats been said is bothering him, dont approach him just yet you'l probably scare him to death and he'l turn and run the other way,Play it cool he knows you like him so if he feels the same be patient and he'l soon come knocking.

first, I would be careful in the future of what I told anyone if you don't want something to get around and spread as gossip keep it to yourself and start a journal. secondly, go and talk to him you didn't say if you all were friends before this. if you all were then this should not have had an impact he should have been flattered. but this may have disturbed him if he thought that you two were friends and you could not talk to him but instead told someone else. So go to him and talk to him and see if you can get things back on track.

he probably aint talking to you because he is embarrased, guys need to be treated with kid gloves, if you come on too strong he will back away and if you dont do anything he wont believe it, so basically you have two choices speak to him naturally, not about you liking him, but pay him a compliment tell him his hair looks nice today, this will show him you do like him but your not being over bearing or dont do anything and spend the rest of the year wondering what if, whats the worse he can do, say no!!!good luck

You say that he won't talk to you now, why? I would go up to him and ask him why he is not talking to you. Tell him that you overheard people spreading rumors that you liked him and start from there. You should be able to get a sense on whether he likes you too or not.

NO, do NOT ask him out. What kind of friends do you have that they would do this to you? Just ignore him , if things pan out then go for it, I'd also look for new friends. Oh, he is embarrassed, so just stay away from him and time will fix things.

I thought it is a guy has to ask a girl out first, not the other way around. Dump your *friend*/

Yes, give it a try. I'm not sure you should tell that 'friend' of yours too much in the future, though.
