What do you first THINK OF and DO as soon as you wake-up?

First thing I think of to do is thank my God for another day, then haul myself out of the most comfy bed in the world, turn on the computer as I grope my way towards the stairs to let the dog and cats out, then fall onto the kettle and boil it for tea. By this time my eyes are almost open so I make the tea, let in any animals who might be waiting by the back door, crawl back to the computer and slump down on the chair to check emails. Some time during this process the pets let me (and the neighbours) know vociferously that they've not been fed for months and they're starving to death so back I go to the kitchen and prepare three gourmet meals for three spoiled little brats. Back to the comp, a sip of now luke warm tea and light the first cig of the day....ahhhhhh, now I'm almost human!

My first thought is "gotta pee!!!"...what I do is get up, watching where I step so I don't land on a dog (I have 3), get thru the canine obstacle course, let them out, go to the bathroom, grab a cup of coffee. By this time the dogs are back in the house, I give them a treat then take my coffee into my office and log onto my computer. I am a creature of habit ;-)

That depends...

On a day when I have to work:

Alarm goes off at 5 a.m. I think "Oh God, I don't want to get up. I don't want to go to work. Death would be preferable!"

& I take a shower, trying to wake up & bemoaning my fate.

On a day when I don't have to work:

I look at the clock. It's noon.

I think: mmmm what a lovely day. The sun is shining the birds are singing God it's great to be alive!

I have a shower & rejoice in a day of freedom. A day when I am not a slave to a soul-destroying siege....

The first thing I think of is food and if I need to go to the store, because I've usually been dreaming about food. The what I do is get dressed, pee, and brush my hair. After that it's hitting the computer and trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

Ifirst think of starting to get my daughter up for school. Then I feed the dog, feed the cats, scoop out the litter box, feed the birds (wishing they weren't still here), wash my hands and start to make my daughters lunch while still hollering for her to get up, this all happens within 3 minutes. My mornings are really pleasant!

The awareness that "I am still available in this body" happens by itself.. So the first thing I can think of is "where am I " (a continuation of the same awareness 'available in this body', now it is location of me 'with the body' )
Doing is dependent upon the situation, even getting up included... ha ha ha !

My son wakes me up then we go downstairs & I get my coffee and he gets his sippy of milk. Then we go in the living room and watch Spongebob for a little while.

I think of my life in general and give thanks for another day to try to improve the life of someone else. I stretch, look over at my husband, look down on the floor at my dog, and take a moment to pray for my family and friends and especially the desert. Then off to the bathroom for cold water on my face!

I got to the loo, then make some coffee, and then straight to the 'puter.
I ususally don't start thinking right away.

1st thing I think of is my son, then I get up and fix his breakfast unless my husband beats me to it. If he does it first then I just cuddle and watch Transformers while drinking coffee.
