Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ will SUFFER persecution, but evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.2tim-3-13 What camp are you in pastor???? are you teaching the meat????? or smooth flattering words to entice members in the congregation? IM sick of NOT hearing the truth. Judgment is upon our nation and ministers are afraid to warn the USA. It has to be now because 911 and katrina were nothing to whats on the horizon unless america repents. Their is nothing but mockery about this subject,,,,its worse in the churches i`ve been to. I hear the Holy Spirit telling me my country is in trouble. I have few people who hear Him to ,,but ya know thats how jeremiah suffered in his day.

Interesting. You're preaching doomsday on this question, but only 4 days ago you posted a question calling your neighbors bast**ds. What kind of mixed signals are you sending? Take a dose of your own medicine.

If it doesn't work at home, don't export it.

Somewhere along the line Christians have missed the point that we live in a Satan controlled evil world. Poverty, Hunger, Social inequality, you name the problem, this world has faced for centuries. Then look at the way people have tried to clean up the problems with human moral good. Did it work? Its a rhetoricl question.
The solution to the evil is Jesus Christ. Anything or anyone elses plan is part of the deception.
God has not allowed human good to solve spiritual problems from the first time sin was introduced and Adam tried to cover his sin with his own methods.
Only a change of who we are through Faith in Jesus then growing Spiritually will change anything in this Evil world.
And some thought evil was just telling a lie and stealing.....Yeah right, and the Devil wears a red suit and carries a Pitch Fork.

Hello friend,

Be encouraged by the signs of the times...know that what you are seeing come to pass only lends authenticity to that which you have learned through your study of the Word of God.

Yes, our country is in trouble. For such a young nation we are on the brink of devastating decisions that could end the Great American Experiment altogether. But don't be short sighted...yes our nation is great, but it is not the be all and end all...out of the ashes of the USA could rise yet another even greater nation. Or the destruction of the US could precede the events of the last days. No one knows.

You feel alone in your conviction...I know the feeling because I have felt it too. You are not alone! And you must be careful not to let fear creep into your life and disable you because the enemy is so skillful at using that tactic you won't even notice it.

God Bless you and keep up the Good fight!

While I have heard about smooth talking Pastors who preach the "feel good" gospel and who don't teach about holiness and the need to honor God in how we live our lives, I don' think that judgment is upon our nation. For instance, I heard one woman at my church say something about if God doesn't judge this nation then He is going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

But what she and perhaps you failed to take note of was that when God was about to bring judgment on those cities Abraham interceded on their behalf and God said that if He could find 10 righteous men in the city then He wouldn't destroy it. In this country we have millions of true Christians, not just the ones who say that they are Christians in answer to a survey question but whose lives have no other significant difference from non-Christians.

The true children of God in this country are constantly interceding on it's behalf and so far God has been merciful. Yes, this country is in trouble and God will not pardon forever, but so far He has not brought judgment on it. 9-11 and Katrina are just the "beginning of sorrows" that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24. God is not such a poor shot or so weak that He would take out only the cities that suffered in those events and leave other cities untouched.

Your country is in trouble. And your right about it coming from the churches. Most of them spread messages of hate and bigotry.

They claim to follow Jesus but do the exact opposite of what he ask.

We need to stop judging others and remember the words of Jesus. Judge not, turn the other cheek, and love your neighbor as your self.

Love and blessings

"CHRISTIANS ARE BEING PERSECUTED"

Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? That's what's happening when Fundamentalists use this statement. They have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.

Fundamentalists see this "persecution" as biblical proof of being on God's side. It's not. Their so-called persecution is merely the rest of society defending itself from their attacks. Their so-called persecution is merely being called to the carpet for their actions. Their so-called persecution comes in the form of editorials that don't paint them in a glowing light or legislation that goes against their made-truths. If they can't get their schools to allow them to pray to their God during class time, they claim they are being attacked. What would happen if Buddhists and Muslims tried to get the same special rights? Fundamentalists would be beside themselves in anger.

This is not the persecution mentioned in the Bible. The leaders of the Christian Coalition are not being hung on crosses (Philippians 2:8). The leaders of the Family Research Council are not being stoned to death (Acts 7:59). The leaders of Focus on the Family are not being thrown to the lions (Daniel 6:16). And yet these people have the gall to claim they are being persecuted in God's name. They are not. All they have to worry about is someone calling them bad names and denying them their request for favoritism.

5 "Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told
we had a reading from acts 13 in cluding this but also came up in the service and prayers 11 Then they sweep past like the wind and go on—
guilty men, whose own strength is their god."

Habakkuk's Second Complaint
12 O LORD, are you not from everlasting?
My God, my Holy One, we will not die.
O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment;
O Rock, you have ordained them to punish.

and we'd had a lovely song on the anger and the rock holding us firm all makes sence now

It is your ego which deludes you. Each generation has believed the end times were in their time.

Please get over this and try to practice what you say you believe, and do onto others as you wish to be treated.

Life is full of suffering, and everyone dies. Love your enemies, be peaceful and live a good life.
