it really takes some months, for true love

A person can "fall in love" in an instant. This "love at first sight," the author Scott Peck (in The Road Less Travelled) discredited as unreal. Peck claimed it was I kind of biological obsession, something to naturally orient the organism toward mating. It is true that the "love at first sight" is not well founded. Love is the really caring about the other person, yes, but it is also because of a perception that the other needs you somehow. And this is not well established at first sight.
I am 47 years old, and have been in love several times. The few times love worked out the best (a relationship of years), were - very interestingly - the situations where love developed over several months of growing friendship.

I just read in some of your answers that love isn't real, that it is just false feelings or an illusion. That may be but the pain and hurt of losing someone that you feel in your heart, is that false and an illusion also. Love is real and like the others said it only takes a second to fall in love and maybe a second to fall out of love. But it takes time to build that love into true meaning. But if you both feel the same then it will surely happen in time.

I have always believed that you can never choose the one you are going to love as it is not based on what you can see, hear and touch. This being the case, you can never tell how quickly one can fall in love. You can fall in love with a stranger you saw in a mall this morning, you can fall in love with your boss for one year, with your classmate in one subject and yes, you can fall in love with your bestfriend since childhood.

True love takes quite a while. True love comes from knowing a person well. Even annoying habits can be put aside about a person if you love them enough. When you meet a person and do not know them you may think there is something you love about them but there is more to love then just physical attraction. You need time to get to know a person or it is just infatuation and infatuation is NOT love.

Hubby and I fell in love after only a few weeks. We got married when we were 18, parents were very skeptical, however we are still together after 7 years.

People cannot fall in love. Love is an illusion; we all believe it to be like the best feeling in the world. Usually love is lust or infatuation. Even people who are married for ages, probably don't love eachother as such, they have just got used to the idea.

About as long as it takes to turn a corner.
However true love grows with time.
