So i have a pre-employment drug screening tomorrow.. yesterday i ate a 5mg valium, then realized about 30 seconds later that it could be on the test, and i went and threw up everything in my stomach... will it show up on the test i have?

should have also added.. i dont have a prescription for it.. and ya i know it stupid

...there is nothing wrong with Valium, it is a benzodiazepines [anti-anxiety drug], why would they penalize you for taking it, besides i don't think they'll test for it

An employer is really only worried about opiates and hallucinogens. I don't think valium qualifies. But if you're worried, take along the bottle to show that it is a valid prescription. Just leave it tucked away, and only mention it if they ask.

Did you throw up the whole pill? Probably didn't have enough time to enter your bloodstream. If you have a valid prescription then it doesn't matter if it shows up. Also, not all companies will test for valium.

STOP vomitting!!! I am here to tell you that pre-employment drug screens DO NOT test for anything like over the counter meds or prescription meds. The ONLY drugs this test detects are: THC- marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opiates- hallucinogens. The test is done on body temp. urine, usually fresh from you, they take the temp. to make sure you aren't using someone else's urine. They dip a paper card in the urine that has 4 strips on it, if you are positive for 1 or all 4 of the drugs I listed above, then the strips turn pink. Trust me, just DO NOT smoke weed, shoot meth,snort cocaine or eat any poppy seed muffins and you will be just FINE.

If you have a prescription, it shouldn't matter if it shows up.
