Just read the book, it's not that long and it is good.
Also, they have a movie about it

Isn't the idea that you read a book and then write a summary yourself, or am I missing the advantages of no education?
I do have to say though that your eclectic tastes of "just any novel" cheered me up. Clearly, your education is not being wasted on you if it has awaken and developed such a broad literary vista in your reading habits.
Still, why over-educate people when clearly they will only need to be able to read a menu and transfer the number of a meal to the till.
Have you thought of looking for the a summary of "Would you like to go large with your meal, sir? Maybe a side order of onion rings?"?

You could go to Copernic.com and download a copy of summarizer...a little known secret among hacking students.
Good luck. You may want to make friends with a few computer geeks if you want to sail through school and avoid teacher audits.
Good luck. Also better to choose teachers that are less tech savvy.
