if your saviour j.c. was reborn into the world (the second coming, as refered to in the bible), how would you recognise him ?
and would your church leaders lock him up in case he interpreted the bible's meanings differently to the high churches dogma....

You see the flaw in the idea of the second coming too Chris.

I have been thinking the exact same thing about that judgmental bunch who call them selves Christians.

Wonder how those who put the spin on religion would get rid of him this time.

Crosses are outdated. Electric chair, lethal injection?

a few people have mentioned matthew 24. i would narrow down verses 4-14, 23-31, 32-35 (take note of this bit then re-read 4-14), 36-44.

many people quote verse 30, and also revelation 1:7 as proof of seeing Jesus coming. however, john 14:19 says the world will behold him no more. if the world can't behold him, how can they see him?
this isn't a contradiction in the bible though. mthhew 24:30 says he is coming on a cloud. if we look at other occurances of clouds in the bible, they are used to hide people from view. when the jews fled egypt, they were shrouded in a cloud so the egyptions couldn't see them (exodus 13:21,22). when God gave the ten commandments he appeared in a cloud(exodus 19:9, 16-19)
in this use of clouds, it is to hide someone from sight. the fact Jesus comes on a cloud shows he will not be physically seen. so where it says every eye will see him, it is refering to the signs of his presence from matthew 24:4-14. every eye will see the signs of Jesus and be aware of his presence.
romans 1:20 says God's invisible qualities are clearly seen. we don't see something physical as they are invisible. it will be the same with Jesus. we see, but not physically.

so in answer to your question, no the churches won't lock him up because he won't be in a physical form.

Matthew 24

25Behold, I have told you before.

26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The Bible doesn't refer to the Day of Judgement as the "second coming" and it never states that Christ will be reborn. Everyone will recognize..those resurrected to face the second death and those that are to be caught up and given eternal life. The writer is never required to interpret his own writings and so as Jesus is the Word..meanings, dogma, "high churches" (the church is the ekklezia or body of Christ) have little to do with much of anything. All that was already warned about. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

You have hit the nail on the head! This is why I became so interested in Christ because he was locked up the first time for interpretation the Torahs meaning differently from the high priests.

He returns as an adult and he will not be missed as he will arrive on a cloud from the sky.

I'd recognize the second coming.

That would be the person turning over the bingo tables at Catholic Churches and speaking out about radical ideas that are based on goodwill and love, but ruffle the feathers of people like Pat Robertson and George Bush.

That would be the one people want to put in jail or have killed.

You think they wouldn't be nailed to a tree the second time!

It will be at the end of the world when jesus comes back. He will not be the same as the first time. He will come after the rapture (when the christains vanish from the earth and go to heaven). He will judge the people who didn't get raptured. If you aren't a christain after the rapture you will be burned in a lake of fire. If you are a christain after the rapture you will join the christains for eternity. God will make a new heaven and a new earth that will be perfect without Satan. And we will all live happily ever after.

The problem is where you said "reborn." The second coming has nothing to do with Jesus being born again. This is how it's described in Acts 1: 9After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11"Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
That's how we would recognize Him. There aren't too many people who appear like that, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Jesus is NOT being reborn into this world the way He was born as a baby from His Mother Mary. Jesus is coming on a white cloud in the sky and take His church Home with Him.

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
shew Gen 41:25, Dan 2:29, Dan 2:45

We will look to the sky for Jesus and not towrds mortal man who claims to be Jesus. For that man will be the antichrist claiming to be Jesus. You cannot fool a Christian who studies the word of God. Jesus will find us and we will be ready for HIm. Will you be?

He will be hard to miss. In Matthew 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Revelation 19:16
On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Pretty much anything less than this is superficial and the wrong Jesus. He will not be wearing a suit with a pinky ring and a Rolex watch. Hope this helps!
