islam is good religion or no?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because I am not a Muslim doesn't make it right for me to judge their religion. The bible instucts us as Christians not to judge but be judged. In the end God will have the final say. Everyone of the Islamic faith isn't a terrorist, nor are they all out trying to destroy the world. It would be ignorant for us to judge an entire religious faith by the actions of few. Peace and God bless.

as good as any and better than most. It would help you to think of when it was created and what was happening in the world it came into. At that time the Arab peoples were all in small tribes and were constantly at war. Feuding like the Early Hatfield and McCoys in the US. Islam brought them one unifying faith and a set of rules and a legal system. It really was a religion of peace. Instead of many gods and many prophets creating trouble there was one God and Mohammad is his prophet. They even made Mohammad the Last Prophet of God to prevent anyone from using the religion as a tool of war. Only today is it possible for right wing loonies to set up as preachers and call for war in gods name. These people have no authority in the writings. Notable is that all the Osamas have been educated in the west.
I am not Muslim by the way, just a history buff.
And for those who talk hate towards the violence they should check their own religious history, and those who think it was forced conversions should look at how Jews and Christians were left alone and respectfully allowed to live under Islam while the Christians were carrying out programs of mass murder. The politics today are very nasty.

I think like other religions a few passages get promoted while other passages are ignored, such as in the Christian bible, an eye for an eye and turn the other cheek. They are both opposing concepts that do not fit together and a religion will take one side or the other and seldom both. I think whatever was the source of bibles from 'wherever' politicians have always used them to promote an agenda and turn peoples to hate one another. I hope there are good Muslims that do not hate me because I am not. These peoples, the ones that do not and will not hate Gods creations(or Allah if that is how you say it) are my TRUE BRETHREN.

Without trying to pass judgment, it's now a known fact that Islam is the fastest growing religion; does that tell you anything? (you can google this last piece of information)

Unfortunately, people have been brain-washed by the media, who tries to represent Muslims in the worst possible ways, may be to cover up on other issues.... Usama Bin Laden has nothing to do with Islam... there's nothing called "a Muslim extremest"... Islam means "peace", and that what it calls for... and that's what people who are converting to Islam find in it....

Be objective... do your own research.... and learn from decent, reliable Muslim sources... and make up your own mind about it...

. Islam means peace.

Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).

I am pretty much ignorant of the teachings of most religions since I am an Atheist. However it seems that of all the religions in the world the the people that are Islamic are causing the most problems right now. So based upon that I think Islam is a mean, hateful religion.

Islam is the culmination of religions from the One God of Abraham - peace be upon him. In Islam is the correct and final message from God, The Holy Quran. Islam is tolerant of other faiths and in its true form, the way of truth, peace and tolerance.
