I am getting married shortly. For my wedding favor I will be using either tins or the tulle bags. I didn't want to fill them with almonds, etc. I was looking for other ideas. I've been researching online...but have found nothing. Help!

You can use most anything in your favors. If one of you have a certain hobby that everyone knows you by you can get most anything engraved with your names and date. Dove chocolates make a real cute gift. You can find them lined in foil even in your colors. Hershey candy bars even make them with the outer paper personalized. I've even seen golf balls engraved. It has alot to do with a theme and the season your wedding takes place.

My aunt for my cousins wedding had actually made miniture roses with hershey kisses for the wedding favors. She had also made little pins with there names on them. She used a lot of sixlets. You can do almost anything just be creative. Using candied letters would be really kinda cool too. You could give little charms of a symbol that's special to you and the groom. Also remember that the grab bags don't have to have only food. You could put miniture sachets like you put in a drawer in them. You could use confetti. Ornaments, Just find things that you and your significant other identify most with. Like some little special memory from an anneversary or first date.

Go to Sam's. If you are looking for candy you can get a good deal there.

My friend is getting married next month and is putting a ferro rocher truffel in little boxes as favors. (They came 30/$6.)

Otherwise I would suggest going with a truffel of some kind or something that you really like. I, personally, LOVE ghiradelli carmel squares. I would get those for everyone. Jelly bellies are another good idea.

There is a company that will print a photo of the two of you on the top of a flat piece of candy. Get small candy dishes and place them in the middles of the tables instead of bags or tins. Fill them with these candies instead.

I got married in the spring and used the pastel colored M&M's in tulle....depending on the month you are getting married, you could use all sorts of stuff...a friend of mine did the tins with hershey's kisses & hugs in them...and on the outside it said "Hugs & Kisses from the new Mr. & Mrs"....if you're getting married in october, there are a ton of choices with different candies out for halloween.....you can even get M&M's in your wedding colors (although a bit expensive).....

My brother and his bride used the wonderful candies that can be bought just about anywhere and I think its spelled Roche (its small choc. wafer balls covered with crushed nuts, then wrapped in gold foil paper.) Very fancy and impressive, too! I like the M&M ideas that some folks have suggested. Also, if money is tight, don't feel pressured to give a gift. Just give everyone lots of hugs and "Thanks for coming, it means sooo much to me!"

I have heard that you can get M & M's made in specialized colors. Of if you have a candy shop in your town see if they can make something like M & M's in the colors you have in your wedding. If you are trying to get away from 'food" in your favors try candles.

Do you have a Godiva chocolate near you?? They can maybe suggest something. I liked the ideas of the M&M's. You can go to their website and order just about any color combination, and have them personalized too!!

M&M's!!! You can go online and have them customized to fit your wedding. We did it and everyone loved it. We put our names and the date on them. They were not that expensive either. Good luck and best wishes.
