Yes ladies & gentleman, it's Sunday, it's way too sunny outside, the kids are making way too much noise and I had way too much fun last night. So I'd like to know: why do YOU drink?

Because it always seems like such a good idea at the time, and Sunday mornings filled with pain and remorse are usually a million miles from my mind on a Saturday night.

Anyway, God made Sundays so we could recover from our hangovers. Amen.

What does it being Sunday have to do with anything?
Husband is at work and the washing machine is on.
Dinner is almost in the oven and the dog has been walked.
The kids that I had are all grown up and live a few miles away. Local kids all seem to be quiet at the moment.
I didn't go out last night - but the neighbours came in at 2.30 and decided to play music full blast for about half an hour.
I have a chilled glass of white wine by my side and I am answering questions on Yahoo!
Who could want anything more relaxing?
I drink because I like to.

I drink because I can and I am old enough to drink, sometimes it's to help me relax at the weekend. I don't drink in the week because I have to go to work the next day, I did that once and my god what a hangover what made it worse was that I work in a school so I couldn't get away from screaming kids, when the teacher knew she made the children shout out answers because she thought it would be funny, I suppose at least she has a sense of humour.

Why not?

Depending on the time of day, I suppose.

I've had drinks at 8 am after working the night shift.

I've had drinks at noon because that was the time the Navy ship pulled into port

I absolutely enjoy wine at anytime of the day - Christmas morning mimosas, nice light wine with lunch, and a nice full red with dinner

I'd drink for the company

I'd drink for the fun of it

I'd drink for the taste

I don't drink very much but since living in France I have really developed a liking for Champagne!!!
I love when the weekend arrives so that I can open a bottle of champs- its my little luxury.
The whole night is made with good music, good company and a lovely bottle of chilled champagne!
It beats a night in the pub with a pint anytime

I drink because I enjoy bar jokes. Here are some:-

Q: Why did Al Gore get a nipple ring?
A: He heard that George Bush got a Dick Cheney.

Q. Why did Eve bite the forbidden apple?
A. Because it tasted better than Adam's banana.

Q: What's the difference between a beer and a booger?
A: A beer goes on the table, a booger goes under it.

To celebrate or take the edge off. I never drink just because it's there or I can. I always have a reason, like it's been a super long day and it's nearly over. Oh, and I will almost always drink at a concert I've been waiting to go to for months.

I used to drink because i had a lot of problems in my life and it helped me to sleep and to blot them out for a while, but after a major health scare resulting in 9 days in hospital i hardly touch the booze now, if anybody is looking for a good alcohol free lager try cobra lager serve it cold and you cant tell the difference.

I love O.V.D. dark rum with coke (Old Vatted Demerara). It is the best rum you can get, in my opinion, made in Scotland. Often very difficult to source outside of Scotland. When you add coke to it, it has a froth on the top, mmmm, think I'll go out and get some.

I either have a very large drink at bedtime to knock me out so that I can sleep, or sip something slowly through the evening so I relax, or sometimes just to get as nissed as a pewt for the helluv it
