If you really want to keep a regular bowel habit for the rest of your life you must get to the source of your loose bowel syndrome.
Are you drinking too much beer, alcohol, or coffee? Do you eat enough vegetable, fruits, starches and proteins? Are you drinking 8-10 cups of water each day? I don't want to sound like I'm preaching, but you are putting too much "Junk" in your trunk! So bananas are not going to cure your problem, getting back to a healthy daily diet will. After all, "Junk in, Junk out", as the sayings goes!
add to the list: too much milk can cause that problem too.
A liquid diet = loose bowels and dehydration

bananas are a good source of potassium.

If you have loose bowels, try eating cheese. That tends to bind people up.

Try taking acidophilus. That is a probiotic that puts 'good bacteria' into your gut to help fight off the bad stuff that causes loose bowels. You can buy it at Walmart, Target, or any health food store. Take a few of them at a time for a few days, then go back down to the normal dosage. See if that works for you. They are pretty inexpensive and they do not hurt you. It helps my tummy

Bananas are good for you - but will not help you stop the loose bowels. You have a problem that can be solved by seeing a doctor.

Your body is telling you something... Instead of trying around just do a couple of easy tests at your GP.... Get it done as soon as possible...

If I was you I would avoid dairy and eat a lot of fibers and after two weeks or so I would evaluate the situation... Then I would switch to eating/drinking a lot of dairy products at the same time as I avoid what fibers are called...

Bananas have fiber and regulate bowel movement as well as being non-acidic. Eat away!
